Nicolee Hodge Parton, 62, passed away in her sleep Tuesday after a long bout with many illnesses over several years. She has now been reunited with her son Brian Houston Greene and father Robert L. Hodge Jr. in the House of the Lord. Nicky retired from TVA in 2012 where she worked for 37 years, joining the utility just months after graduating from Powell High School in 1974. She enjoyed horseback riding, traveling, reading, was an outstanding cook and collected Hallmark Christmas ornaments. In her home in Powell she kept a dozen Christmas trees decorated year-round, providing entertainment not only for her guests but for the many cats and dogs she owned over the years as well. She is survived by her husband of 32 years Joe Parton, her mother Shirley Ann Hodge, her brother Robert L. Hodge III, sister-in-law Roxy Anne Hodge, nephews Hunter and Zack Hodge as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends. Family will receive friends Saturday at Weaver’s Chapel from 4:00-7:00 pm with service to follow. Family and friends will meet at Berry Highland Memorial at 2:45pm Sunday for a 3:00 pm interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knoxville Humane Society. Condolences are welcome at weaverfuneralservices.com Weaver Funeral Home 5815 Western Ave. Knoxville, TN 37921

It saddens my heart to hear of Nicky passing. It also saddens me that so much time has passed before seeing her.
As all know Nicky was such a giving person. She loved doing for others.
She would get so excited in telling stories...ha. She smiled with all her being and made a person feel they were so important.
I remember Nicky's Hummingbird Earings...ha. Nicky loved Hummingbirds.
I'll always be grateful to Nicky for being so good to my Son when he worked in the Knoxville Record Center at TVA. Nicky was extremely kind to him.
I remember Nicky bringing her Diabetes sugar checking machine into work. She checked my sugar level for me and tickled when the level was normal.
Nicky was thoughtful of others, she loved to talk, she loved talking to us about Brian, the nurses, Nurse Pat, Nicky loved her Mom....which is a retired Rural Carrier from the Post Office. Nicky talked about her Mom often and introduced us to her Mom on several occasions. Nicky also loved her husband Joe. She would light up when talking and telling stories about her and Joe. She loved him very much.
I'll never forget Nicky and Joe bringing Brian (hospital bed and all) to the ice skating rink on Market Square Mall...ha. That was years ago. They brought him to TVA on several occasions. Nicky so loved her Son. She would get excited talking about him. She made sure he had cartoon sheets on his bed. I remember when he passed ... our TVA Managers allowed us all to attend the burial. I imagine that's where Nicky will rest as it is the same site...Berry's on Kingston Pike which is such a nice location.
My thoughts and prayers are with Nicky's Momma and Joe, her Brother, Nephews (whom she talked about often), Family and Friends.
I am proud to have known Nicky and worked with her for 30+ years.
I'll never forget her smile, love and friendship.
Sincerely,
Rhonda Clayton
