Robert A. Gurganus, age 82, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 13, 2019. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during the Korean War. Robert was an active volunteer with Mobile Meals through which he impacted many lives and will be sorely missed by those he served. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was a consumate family man. He was an avid University of Tennessee sports fan and a huge Donald Trump supporter. Robert was preceded in death by his parents OB and Mary Tilghman Gurganus; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 21 years, Deborah Gurganus; daughter Bambi Frazier and husband Steve; Laurie Barnes; Robert Gurganus, Jr.; Heather Stanton and husband, Stephen; Dustin Watts and wife Barbara; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Joseph Gurganus and wife Pat; several nieces and nephews; special friends Rocky and Sondra Long of Youngwood, Pennsylvania; and a host of other family members and friends.
