Darletha "Dolly" Page, 61, passed away on Saturday, March 17th, 2019. Darletha was born to Clarence Jesse Roberts Sr. and Bessie Cornelius on October 1st, 1957 in Sandusky, Ohio. She was a graduate of Kokomo High School, then went on to attend Martin University and Ivy Tech for various classes. After, she worked at Chrysler for 31 years, eventually becoming a team leader.
Darletha married Dennis Page on April 2nd, 1994, and he survives.
Darletha loved camping and traveling with family. She enjoyed vegetable and herb gardening and canning what she grew. Darletha was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, and was an avid reader of self-reliance books- she read for knowledge. Darletha loved to teach others canning, cooking, and self-reliance skills. She was a hands-on instructor. She was big supporter of the Kokomo High School wrestling team. Darletha was the co-founder of Grace Tabernacle of Praise. Darletha was saved in 1978 and remained a woman of God for the remainder of her life. Darletha worked as a missionary in Nigeria and gained many friendships through this. Throughout her life, Darletha was a generous, kind person and touched the lives of many people. She loved her grandchildren and family and they will miss her dearly.
Darletha leaves behind her husband Dennis Page; sons Diontae Bender of Kokomo and Isaiah Barbary of Kokomo, daughters Tesson Nashay Barbary of Franklin, IN and Rashel Gray of Kokomo; siblings Clarence Roberts Jr. of Indianapolis, Brenda Hobson of Indianapolis, Kachona Thomas of Indianapolis, Pam Arrington of Indianapolis, Jamie Arrington of Indianapolis, and Mary Huddleston of Datona Beach, Florida; 15 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Darletha is preceded in passing by her parents Clarence Jesse Roberts Sr. and Bessie Cornelius, her brother Thomas Ray Payton of Akron, Ohio and her sister Thyra Arrington and Jackie Roberts Collier both of Indianapolis.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 23rd, at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, with a funeral service following at 1:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Will Price Jr., UAW 685 Chaplain.
Darletha will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden following the services.
