Diana Gail Abresch

Diana Gail (Abberley) Abresch, passed away at home on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the age of 70. She was born in Springfield, Illinois on September 11, 1953, to her beloved parents, James and Betty (Haynes) Abberley. She had one sibling, her brother, Mark Abberley, who was her closest friend and confident in this life.

Diana grew up in Kokomo, Indiana, and graduated from Kokomo High School in 1971. Shortly after graduating, she began working for Delco Electronics (General Motors) where she retired after 34 years of service. She married the love of her life, Keith Abresch in July 1976 and they have four children, Kara (Kyler) Abresch, Laura McGuire, Katie (Cody) Cunningham, and Adam (Elizabethe) Abresch whom she loved "with all her heart."

Diana, a kind and gentle soul, lived her life wholeheartedly and would help anyone in any way she could. She had a love for reading non-fiction books, watching documentaries and classic movies, and music. She enjoyed retirement thoroughly and would start everyday with coffee, the news, and tending to her kitty cat, Sweetie.

Diana was welcomed into the next life by her parents, Jim and Betty, husband, Keith, granddaughter, Alexia, and kitty cat, Pepper. Diana continues to watch over her 12 grandchildren, Piper Flook, Parker Flook, Austin McGuire, Layla McGuire, Evelyn McGuire, Amaya Abresch, Roman Cunningham, Meadow Cunningham, Rhys Cunningham, Thor McClish, Aurora McClish, and Ava Abresch.

In remembrance of Diana, a Celebration of Life will be held on November 25, from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM, at the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) 102 West Markland Ave., Kokomo, Indiana. All are welcome to attend.
