Robert Carl Brockmann

Robert “Bob” Carl Brockmann, 80, of Kokomo, passed away March, 24. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 25, 1937 to Raymond and Pearl (Omdell) Brockmann.

Bob was a graduate of University of Wisconsin with a degree in engineering. He was also a member of Theta Delta Chi fraternity. On September 1, 1963, Bob married his beloved wife of 54 years, Diana. Together they raised three wonderful children. Bob developed the Walton Woods subdivision, having designed many of the homes there. When he was younger, he loved to draw, photography and golf. In his later years he was a “bleacher grandpa”, enjoying all the sports the grandchildren were involved in, he never missed a game.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Brockmann.

He is survived by his wife, Diana (Wine) Brockmann; son, Lance; daughters, Kelly (Greg) Hardin and Kristin (Mark) Jansen; grandchildren, Courtney Hardin Brodsky, Cameron Hardin, Carleigh Hardin, Brooke Jansen, Cassidy Hardin, Jacob Jansen, and Sydney Jansen; and 2 nieces.

Family will welcome friends Friday, April 6 from 3-6pm at Grace United Methodist Church, 219 W Mulberry St, Kokomo, IN 46901. Services will follow at 6pm; to be officiated by Pastor Brian Cook. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children, http://www.rileykids.org/ Or Grace United Methodist Church, 219 W Mulberry St, Kokomo, IN 46901.

Diana and Family,
I am so very sorry to learn of Bob's passing. I have such fond memories from "back in the day" watching our children in Age Group Swimming!!! Bob was a gem, and you are all in my prayers.....
