On August 6, 2022, Robert Wales Clark passed away after 8 months of battling brain cancer. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that he touched in some small way throughout his life.
Bob was born July 8, 1950, in Chicago to Henry and Jean Clark. His father served over 20 years in the Navy during World War II and Vietnam. His mother was a nurse and homemaker. They moved from Connecticut to San Diego in 1958.
Bob played drums in the Helix High School band and continued playing at weddings and special events throughout his 20’s. He organized many Colorado River canoe trips with Windsor Hills Baptist Church. He loved boating, water skiing, and kayaking. After completing an associate’s degree from Grossmont Junior College, he worked in construction and later became a DSA inspector. His projects included many schools and government buildings around Southern California and a project in Saudi Arabia late in his career. He had an immense amount of knowledge and passion for all things related to construction.
His hobbies and interests included off-roading in his 4x4 Bronco, playing drums, volunteering for his children’s sports/activities, going on cruises, reading World War II history, and working around the house. He devoted much of his time and energy to being a great father and husband.
Bob is survived by his wife Kristine Moorhead; Son, Jeff and his wife Yasi, their 3 sons Oliver, Wesley and Grant; Daughter, Lisa and her husband Kevin, their 2 sons Luke and Ryan; Sister, Nancy; Sister, Zane and her husband Bruce, their children Rachael and Kyle; Sister Becky.
