Annie Marie Long Holcombe

Mrs. Holcombe was born February 5, 1929 in Buckatunna, MS, daughter of the late Paul Long and Lavina Taylor Long. She was retired from Phenix City Area Vocational School as a teacher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Smith “Sonny” Holcombe and a grandson, Joel Kirkwood.

Survivors include her daughter, Anne (Wade) Hall; son, Sonny (Angie) Holcombe; grandchildren, Kirk (Valerie) Kirkwood, Chuck Hall, Chris (SuHyon) Hall, Brandon (Michelle) Holcombe, and Katie (Casey) Goodrich; great grandchildren, Heather, Skyler, Maddie, and Tanner Kirkwood, Sunny and Everly Holcombe, Rivers Goodrich, and Patrick Hall; and one brother, Huey P. Long.

Funeral services were held 2:30 P.M. Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Loyd Presbyterian Church in LaGrange, GA. Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. (CST) Monday, November 17, 2014 in Waynesboro City Cemetery, Waynesboro, MS.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice LaGrange, 1510 Vernon Road, LaGrange, GA 30240 in memory of Mrs. Annie Marie Holcombe.
