Mr. Crook was born September 24, 1938 in Piedmont, AL, son of the late George W. Crook and Hattie Moore Crook. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Crook served as Troup County Manager for a number of years before retirement. He loved staying busy and being active, but his greatest joy was his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Annette Crook and three siblings.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Annette Cordell Crook; daughters, Nita (Leon) Johns and Joanie (Chris) Blanks; son, Scott (Angela) Crook; step daughters, Robyn (Doug) Schueler and Angie (Roger) Sledge; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Frank (Jenny) Crook, Carolyn Borrows, JoAnn Roberts, Pat (Skip) Gilbert; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life Service will be 12:00pm Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Western Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Jones, Rev. Scott Crook and Rev. Leon Johns officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The Services will be livestreamed on the Western Heights Baptist Church Facebook page.
