Glen James Carl Kasik
September 9, 1928 – March 24, 2014
Glen James Carl Kasik, 85, of Chicago, passed away on March 24, 2014 in Nicholasville, KY, where he resided for the past year. He was a self-employed Commercial artist in Chicago, a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lexington, KY, and a Gideon. Survivors include his wife: Christine Kasik; Children: Scott Kasik (Mary Ellen), Denise Campbell (Darryl), Dawn Taylor (Robert) and Donna Kasik; Grandchildren: Joshua Collins (Sharon), Matthew Kasik, Jonathan Kasik and Blake Campbell; step children: Krystle Rusing (Kimo) and Steve Hyzny; step grandchildren: Jacob Swanson and Joseph Baneck; great granddaughter: Chloe Collins. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lexington, Ky. Rev. Jim Bettermann will officiate. He was a great man, he always worried about other people and never hisself (REALLY) that is a word that he always liked. He once said to me, why does everyone say really like do you think I m letting you a story or something. I always laughed at that and will always remember that from him. He will be missed by a lot of people.

Gary Underwager and I did not give permission to Glen to leave his responsibilities here at Rolling Greens as either the President, Treasurer or maybe it was Secretary, of the GOOD GREIF GUYS! Not a day goes by but what Betty and I look across to your old house, and reflect on seeing Glen walking Josie, putzing in the yard or flower garden. Then there are those Chili Dog events and the Fish Fries,. The passing of Glen has left a void in our hearts, and we miss the two of you very much.
