Ashful Anthony Authement Sr.

He was born to his late parents, George and Elizabeth Authement on February 16, 1942 in Terrebonne Parish. He was a commercial fisherman by trade, which he loved.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 55 years, Theresa Authement; two sons, Ashful Authement, Jr. and wife Charlene of Sulphur, Shawn Authement of Bismarck, Arkansas; one daughter, Rebecca Shipman of Galveston, TX; one brother, Autry Authement of Cameron; one sister, Barbella Cormier of Scott, LA; six grandchildren, Timothy, Garrett, Andrea, Todd, Kenneth, Shane; along with numerous great grandchildren.

Ashful is preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and two sisters.

Services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Our Lady Star of The Sea Catholic Church in Cameron with Father Babasino Fernandes officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 5:00-8:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 10:00am until the procession to the church. Burial will follow at Our Lady Star of the Sea Cemetery.
