Athalee V Scritchfield, age 98, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. She was born August 4, 1924 to Charles and Arzella Voth. Athalee retired as a regional manager with over 40 years with BellSouth Telecommunications. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons; William T. Scritchfield Jr. and wife Donna of Lillian, Alabama, Sam Scritchfield of Lake Charles, David Scritchfield and wife Debbie of Westlake, and Ken Scritchfield and wife Sabrina of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Josh, Amy, Shannon, Joe, Nick and Dana; and great grandchildren, Sara, Avrie, Alaura, Alex, Elijah, Logan, James, Cooper, Landon, Lillian, Bella, Leland, Haddon, and August. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William T. Scritchfield, Sr. The family will welcome relatives and friends on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home led by her grandson Nick Scritchfield. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens.
