Charles Preston Broussard

Charles began his career in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the U.S. Army as a Chief Warrant Officer II. In addition he proudly served in the U.S. Civil Service. After retirement he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Ila Broussard, and a sister, Betty Couch.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 61 years, Bobbie Broussard; daughter, Cheryl Miller and husband, Tim; daughter, Kay Gregorio and husband, Ned of Boise, Idaho; son, Albert Broussard and wife, Jessica; daughter, Tammie McCracken and husband, Danny Bellard; grandchildren, Ben Grimmett, Danielle Jagneaux and husband, Adam, Luke Grimmett, Alex Broussard and wife, Jacey, Dave Gregorio and wife, Mallory, Michael Gregorio, Nicholas McCracken, John Gregorio, and Matthew McCracken; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Rev. Marcus Johnson V.F. will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
