Charles “Roger” Addlesperger of Wimberley, Texas, retired land developer and Air National Guard member, passed away from a long and hard fought battle with cancer on April 7, 2021, at the age of 79 in Austin, Texas.
Roger is survived by his wife of 49 years, Candace Margaret Addlesperger; his children, Jason Addlesperger, Kristin Hesse, and Emily Addlesperger; son-in law, Thomas Hesse; and Grandchildren, Isabella and William Hesse. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Henry and Wanda Addlesperger, and daughter in-law, Emily Celeste Addlesperger.
Roger was born in Mansfield, Ohio on March 19, 1942. He later moved with his family to Phoenix, Arizona and attended the University of Arizona. Roger and Candace were married in 1971 and moved to Denver, Colorado where they started their family. Roger was a devoted father and grandfather. He loved to play golf, build canoes, watch the grandchildren's sports, and travel with his family. In his retirement he was elected to his local city council where he made a notable difference in the community. He was a brilliant and amazing man. His generosity, passion for life, kindness, and positive outlook will always be remembered. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
A private memorial will be held at a later date in Scottsdale, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance.
