HEATH, Gail Kinzig Gail Bea (Kinzig, Dentino, Busch) Heath, 70 of Austin, Texas passed away at Christopher House Hospice in Austin, Texas, March 17th, 2019 in the company of family and friends after complications from cancer. Gail was born February 6, 1949 to Marcia Gilliam (Kinzig, Harvey, Handke) and Quay Kinzig in Cleveland, Ohio.
She attended Orange Schools in Pepper Pike, Ohio and graduated from the Grier School in Tyrone, Pennsylvania in 1967. She attended Denver Women's College in Denver, Colorado where she studied Interior Decorating.
Gail is survived by her daughters, Kelly (Busch) Dixon and Courtney (Busch) Cooper and their husbands, Philip Dixon and Joe Cooper III all Austin, Texas. She lives on in her grandson, Collin Rodgers of Shawano, Wisconsin and granddaughters, Philippa and Beatrice Dixon of Austin, Texas. She will be deeply missed by her sisters and brother-in-law, Karen Kinzig of Solon, Ohio and Gwen (Kinzig) and Robert Kanastab of Aurora, Ohio. She is survived by her uncle, John D. Gilliam of New York City and Priscilla (Gilliam) Moore of Shaker Heights, Ohio. She was preceded by her husband of 22 years Byron Heath III of Lakeway, Texas in 2012 and her daughter, Kimberlee (Dentino, Busch, Rodgers, Berlinski) Reed of Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2018. Her mother Marcia preceded her in 2009 and father Quay in 1969.
Gail was a real estate agent for much of her life in Ohio. She and her late husband also owned Apple Creek Homes, a residential building firm in Northeast Ohio. She loved planning and executing her next decorating project and was handy with tools. Everything had its place in Gail's home.
A creative spirit, she enjoyed cooking, painting and making art. Gail loved dogs and had a special place in her heart for Black Labradors. She was often found in her neighborhood walking her beloved lab Moose, who preceded her in 2018. She always friendly and popular and was the life of the party...until around 7:45pm.
She will be remembered by friends and family as exceptionally organized and a thoughtful gift giver.
A Memorial in Gail's honor will be held at Lakeway Church (2203 Lakeway Blvd, Lakeway, Texas) on Friday, March 29 at 2-3pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in Northeast Ohio at Thorn Creek Winery (155 Treat Road, Aurora, Ohio) on Saturday, May 25 from 1-4pm.
