It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Otha Belle Napier, who departed this world on September 3, 2023, at the age of 88, surrounded by loved ones at Denver Hospice. Otha was born to James H. Edwards and Frances Mae Edwards in Missouri, and she brought joy and love into the lives of those around her.
Otha’s journey through life was marked by unwavering devotion to her family. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1953, embarking on a lifelong path of dedication and care as a loving housewife. Her greatest joys were found in nurturing and raising her children and later, her cherished grandchildren.
For most of her life, Otha called Denver, Colorado, her home. She became an integral part of her family community and was known for her warmth and kindness. Family was the cornerstone of her existence, and her love and support were unwavering.
Otha Belle Napier is survived by her loving children: Kevin Martinez Napier, Carmen Randolph Napier, Sheila McDonna Fowler and their spouses. Her legacy lives on through her adoring grandchildren: Inez, Shantel, La-Teshya, Deidre, Sha-Quita, Christopher, and Joanie, as well as her great-grandchildren: Lanay, Arnez, Analise, Dalis, Derek, and Elliot.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Charles Napier, and her beloved daughter, Frances Warnen Lopez. Otha's memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Otha Belle Napier will be best remembered for her loving and caring nature, which touched the lives of all who knew her. Her wisdom, kindness, and devotion to family will remain an enduring legacy, a testament to a life well-lived.
