Ernest Dominick Marino, Jr., 83, was accepted into God’s loving hands on Thursday May 24, 2018, at Ocean Medical surrounded by his devoted family and loving partner, Louise Cremonni. Ernie was married to Angie for 45 years before her passing 18 years ago. Ernie’s happiness came from playing golf, his saxophone, bowling for the Four Seasons team as well as singing in their chorus. He took great pleasure in savoring a good Beefeater martini and he never missed a Yankee win. Ernie loved the beach, making fresh crab gravy to share with family and friends every summer, and he was at the center of the dance floor at every event. Above all, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.
Ernie is predeceased by his parents Ernest Marino, Sr. and Filomena Giovio, and his brother James Marino. He leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Michael, Cheryl, and Cathy; seven grandchildren, Tim, Jessalyn, Justin, Megan, Carly, Julia and Evan; two great-grandchildren, AJ and Wyatt; brother, Tony.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Monday, May 28, 2018, at D'Elia funeral home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Garden of Memories Mausoleum, 300 Soldier Hill Rd, Township of Washington, NJ 07676.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ernie's honor to: The American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
