

Rocco, born in Nyack, New York, moved to Point Pleasant, New Jersey where he worked at Point Pleasant Distributors until his retirement in 1982.
When Rocco was 19 years old, he enlisted in the Army and proudly defended his country during World War II. While enlisted, Rocco met his childhood hero, Joe DiMaggio. Joe was nice enough to take a picture with Rocco. This was one of his prized posessions and Rocco shared this picture with everyone he met.
Rocco was predeceased by his loving wife, Lucy (Palombini) Barone and his brother, Frank Barone.
Surviving are his children: Laura Lenhart and her husband Richard, Susan Muench and her husband Michael, David Barone and his wife Gail, Ella Cipolla and her husband Ralph; Jena Boyle and her husband Matt, and Toni Lee Kelsey and her husband Brian; his grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Jake, Justin, Michael, Sara, Shawn, Ashley, Arielle, David Jr., Matthew, Tricia and Brian; two sister, Rose Rowell and Angelina Muscarella and her husband Paul; a brother Charles and his wife Lee; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be truly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00AM at D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
