

A visitation for LaDrena will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, 808 East Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster, CA 93535. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 1, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, 808 East Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster, CA 93535

EARLY LIFE
LaDrena Jenkins was born
LaDrena Renee Hamilton on April 17th ,1958
In Los Angeles,Ca She was the second child of El Rey Burchett and Annie Alexander. Due to El Rey’s death, She inherited the last name of her eldest brother Louis Hamilton. Being The Oldest Daughter of Annie Alexander,Amongst her sibling group, They called her “Sis” She was considered quite introverted,yet a social butterfly with a flair for fashion and a love for music.
SCHOOLING AND WORK
LaDrena went to Wiggin Avenue Elementary, MarHam junior high and graduated from Lynwood High School c/o 1975 LaDrena had a passion for many things. She went on ride-alongs with Lynwood Sheriff’s Academy Barbizon modeling school, where she strut the runway and modeled in local circular ads. LaDrena realized she had a love for service and went on to graduate from Chester adult school as a CNA in 1985. She went on to begin a 30 year career of nursing. She worked in convalescent homes as well as private duty nursing. Her patients loved and adored her. She was very fond of dogs, dogs loved her dearly and definitely would put a smile on her face.
MARRIAGE AND FAMILY
In 1977 LaDrena met David Louden .They formed a beautiful romance that was filled with love and adventure. They eventually had 3 children, Tanjalika Louden, LaDrena Louden and Steven Louden. After David passed, LaDrena moved on and was blessed with an additional son named Roy Johnson Jr.
In 2011 LaDrena Married Ronyal Jenkins who treated her like a Queen. The relationship was very fruitful and produced a beautiful spiritual union as well as a ministry called Prison Without Bars. This ministry would move forward with public servitude in spreading the gospel amongst the streets of the Antelope Valley as well as Skid Row in Los Angeles. LaDrena overcame addiction, and celebrated 15 years of sobriety. She gave all the glory to God and went on to become a Street Evangelist alongside her husband, Pastor Ronyal Jenkins. They were also active members of TENT TO TENT Ministries with Pastor Michael Hollins in Lancaster, Ca where she enjoyed praise and worship and working with the community. LaDrena Spent her final years embracing her family,bonding with her children, grandchildren, siblings, & close friends.
No More Suffering
LaDrena fought an extensive battle of cancer. She never gave up hope and optimism on healing but she also knew that she was a saved Child of God and understood to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”

LaDrena spent her final days surrounded by her children and grandchildren, family and friends listening to her favorite oldies but goodies and gospel music. God called her home August 5th, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Royale Jenkins, Her Mother Annie Penniman-Green Her Father El Rey Burchett, Grandmother Andrew Mae Thomas. She leaves behind a living legacy of Children: Tanjalika Louden, LaDrena Louden, Steven Louden & Roy Johnson JR. Her Siblings Louis Hamilton, Renita Williams, Delbert Daily and also cherished in the hearts of her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews and extended family.
