Ethel Louise Pierson died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 12:46 pm, at Columbus Alzheimer’s Care Center. Friends and co-workers called her Louise or Lou, but family affectionately called her Weezy.
Louise was born in Johnson County, Kentucky on March 14, 1942. She graduated from Central High School in Columbus in 1960.
She was employed by many businesses but ended her career retiring as an accountant for The Ohio State University working in several departments and colleges.
Her interests included sewing, upholstery, crafts, drawing and painting. She especially loved sketching and painting portraits. For several years, she took art related classes at The Ohio State University.
Louise was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was the greatest joy of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ora and Laura Belle (VanHoose) Daniel and her sister, Oralene Kretzer.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, Robert B. Pierson; her sons, Rob (Liberty) and Michael (Lee Ann); her grandsons, Christopher and Erik (Adelle), and her twin granddaughters, Juliet and Judith.
Our comfort comes from knowing that she is now in the presence of her loving God healed from her dementia of ten years.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to Child Evangelism Fellowship, Greater Columbus Chapter.
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 14, 2:00 pm at the indoor chapel of Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5600 E. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio.
