Jane Ann (Purcell) Young, age 87 of Lancaster, OH passed away Friday March 30, 2018 at Pickering House. She was born March 20, 1931 in Lancaster to the late James F. Purcell and Gretchen Stalter Purcell. Jane Ann was one of the first beauticians in Lancaster.
Jane is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ned S. Young; son, James “Biggy” (Ivy) Young; daughter, Kimberly (Allen) Bradley-Wooley; grandchildren; Matthew, Alicia, Sebastian, and Ava; great-grandchildren: Ronan, Torin, Roslyn, and Rileigh; brothers: Theodore Pursell, Rev. Dr. Jack (Yvonne) Pursell, Richard (Nancy) Pursell; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend Kermit Welty and Rev. Dr. Jack Pursell officiating. Burial will be at Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster. A wake will follow the funeral service at the American Legion, 279 Canal Street, Lancaster.
