Thomas Pappas, 88, passed away peacefully at his residence on August 7, 2018. His love for law enforcement he worked 26 years at the Franklin County Sheriff Office, became Chief Deputy, retired to Florida, in 1984, and spent 11 years at Palm Beach County Sheriff office. He will be missed for his great sense of humor and police stories. Member of FOP Capital City Lodge #9, in Columbus, Oh. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Judy D Pappas (Carder),sons Geoff Pappas of Jacksonville, Thomas Pappas, William Pappas, daughters Patricia Stegman (Donald), Linda Smith, and stepson, Jon Lucas .. Blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family wishes to acknowledge his many special friends and extended family.
