Mr. Bill Conn Eller, age 79 of Landis, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born December 20, 1941 in Catawba County, Bill was the son of the late Ruby Eller. His son, Tim Eller and grandson, Josh Knight along with his brother, Jack Eller and sister, Roberta Head also preceded him in death. Bill was a longtime member of Canaan Baptist Church.

Bill spent his career as a driver for Proctor Chemical for over 25 years. In his spare time, he loved to go fishing, watching NASCAR racing and collecting coins. Bill spent his weekends going to the Webb Road flea market. He loved to cook and was well known for his pot roast and his homemade soup. But his greatest love of all was his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 61 years, Faye H. Eller of the home. He also leaves behind his daughters, Tina E. Witcher (David), Debbie Schenck (Danny) and Teresah Schenk (Dale). Also surviving Bill are his grandchildren, Krista Watt (Brian), Summer Knight (Nick), Jay McDade, Jordan Winecoff (Tyler), Justice Schenck and great-grandchildren, Taylor Myers, Leland Thomason, Nathan Lickus, Waylon Winecoff and Hattie Winecoff.

Visitation for Bill will be on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 12:00 – 2:00pm at Canaan Baptist Church in Salisbury. Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm at the church officiated by Rev. Bruce Graham. Committal service will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested you kindly remember Bill with memorials in his honor to Canaan Baptist Church, 785 Barringer Street, Salisbury, NC 28146.
