Mrs. Novella Margaret Scott Leonard, age 77 of China Grove, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020. Born on June 29, 1943 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Archie Victor Scott and Ruth Pethel Scott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, James Lewis Leonard, Jr. and her son, Kenneth Ray Scott.

Mrs. Leonard was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She particularly loved to go fishing, shopping at Dollar Tree and spending time with her dogs and cats.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jerry Lee Scott, James Leon Leonard and Ricky Lee Leonard. Also surviving are her sister, Cinderella Scott Ross and grandson, Christopher Ray Leonard.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Advantage-Landis, 716 South Main Street in Landis. Funeral service will be on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 2:30 in the Chapel at Advantage-Landis Funeral Home. Burial will follow immediately at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
