Arne Tuft migrated to British Columbia in 1967 with a zest to explore the Northern part of the province and track the history of other Norwegian immigrants before him. With his strong work ethic and self-taught English skills, he managed to become one of the most successful independent contractors in the province. An avid athlete he competed and attained National gold medal levels in snow ski jumping and competition water skiing which he enjoyed until a few years back. He was a humble man who exuded great pride in his two sons Klinton (Melissa) Kamloops, Svein (Justine) Andorra and four grandchildren Ava, Soren, Nevaeh and Gunnar. His loving and devoted wife Janet shared his passions in life and honored his wishes until he set sail.
