Born in the Peace River Region of Northern Alberta on January 26 1927 passed away August 22 2021 in
Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock BC of congestive heart and renal failure and malnutrition.
Predeceased by his son Wayne in 2019 and several brothers and sisters ...Paul leaves behind his two
daughters Elizabeth Gourlay, her daughter Kathleen and grandson Grayson and Leslie Mandy and his
granddaughter Michelle (Steven) and great granddaughter Emily as well as 12 brothers and sisters in
Alberta.
Paul was raised in a large family 20 kids which he was extremely proud of and loved dearly. He spent his
early years in Alberta before moving to Vancouver and starting his own business, Paul Maure Welding.
He was extremely talented and built commercial marine hardware for the US and Canadian fishing
industry from Alaska to California.
Paul loved spending time at his "One Maure Place" in Green Lake where he was a lifetime member of
the South Green Lake Snowmobile Club.
Paul made many friends along the way and always had a kind word for everyone. Always smiling and
making the best of life, he retired and moved to Penticton where he made friends wherever he went.
In May he got to meet his great granddaughter Emily and it brought a sparkle to his eyes.
At the end of July, he left Penticton and his wife of 66 years where he relocated to White Rock to be
cared for by Leslie his daughter and surrounded by loved ones in his final days.
The family would like to thank the staff at both Penticton Regional Hospital, Interior Health and Peace
Arch Hospital for their help with the incredibly sad circumstances that lead to PauI's passing.
He will be forever missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Alberta and BC in the near future, details to follow.
Donations can be made in his name to either Seniors First BC against Elder Abuse or any Domestic Abuse Organization in BC.
