Leota Tittle, 95, of Largo, passed away on Saturday, June 2nd. She will be missed by her beloved family. Leota was born in The Ridge, Kentucky to Roy and Beulah Horton in 1922. She met her husband, Harold, on a blind date. They would later marry in 1943. Retirement brought Harold and Leota to Pinellas County in 1979. There were many things Leota loved in life. Her family was the dearest thing to her, and she spent her days devoted to them. From making orange cookies and sugar cookies, to crocheting a blanket; it was all for her family. Leota loved to cook, and whip up delicious desserts. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her home. She also enjoyed playing games with family members and was a fierce scrabble competitor. In her younger years she was adventurous. Harold and Leota traveled the United States, Canada, and Europe. Christmas was very important to Leota. It represented togetherness and happiness. Leota was a former member of Indian Rocks Baptist Church. Leota is predeceased by her husband; Harold, daughter; Judy Holman, sister; Gladys Moore, and son in law; Allie Snow.
