William (Bill) Folmar passed away on January 20, 2021, due to complications of COPD at the age of 74. He was born November 5, 1946, in Denver, CO, to William E and Mary Sanders Folmar from Goshen, AL, where he has many beloved friends and family. He was the older brother to his only sibling, Susan Wagner.
He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration at the University of Florida. After serving as a pilot in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his service, Bill continued his education at The Ohio State University where he earned multiple Master Degrees in Business Administration and Regional and City Planning. These degrees led him to start his own company, Land Development Economics, in Orlando, FL.
While he was in the Air Force, he met his loving wife of 51 years Cynthia LeGrand Folmar from Jacksonville, FL. They spent his last year living his dream of waking up to beach views and watching the beautiful sunsets.
William is survived by his children, Kendall (George) Palmer, William Alan Folmar Jr. (Rhaiza), and Jonathan Folmar; grandchildren, Makenzie Wofford, Austin Wofford, Aiden Palmer, Caleb Folmar and Roman Folmar; great grandchildren, Paisley and Magnolia and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Service arrangements will be made at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in William’s memory to The American Lung Association.
