Diane Highsmith, 72, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away on May 8 due to complications from pancreatic cancer. Diane was born on September 24, 1948 in Los Angeles to parents Emil and Lillian Guy. While attending Costa Mesa High School, she met her future husband, Don, on a blind date before graduation. Diane volunteered at her grandchildren's’ school, EKA, and was well-loved by students, teachers, and staff. She was also a long time member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Diane is survived by her devoted husband, Don, of over 52 years; her children, Donny, Nina and her husband, Michael, Mario and his wife, Anya, and Cody and his wife, Janeth; her six grandchildren, Karina, Noah, Capri, Connor, Liam, and Emilio; her sister, Toni, and three other siblings; her aunt, Rita; her family friend, Heather, and numerous other friends; her dog, Jagger; and her tortoise, Dylan.
