In loving Memory of
Beverlee Loretta Renfro Newcomb
May 30, 1937 - November 3, 2018
Beautiful inside and out, she was a loving wife and Mother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend. Bevie as she was known by, was an incredible artist. She loved working with oil paints, but explored all types of media. She was an avid gardener with the greenest thumb in the world! At one time she had over 100 thriving houseplants. She enjoyed canning and cooking and was well known for her amazing Jalepeno Jelly. She was a very talented and creative cook. Her joy in life came from her two daughters, Lynn and Gina. From a very early age she chose to be a homemaker and mother over having an outside career. She took pride in her girls and her home, and worked so hard to maintain it up until the end. Bevie was a joy to be with. She loved a good party, or a family gathering. She was an amazing hostess, card player in her early days, and was also a great bowler. She walked door to door every year for the American Heart Association. She was involved in several support groups where she was always there for her friends. Many came to be almost like family, and she knew as much about them as her own girls. Madjacks and COA were her two favorite groups. There was never anyone in need that she didn’t reach out to. She was generous to a fault, and had a heart of gold. One day there was a old man across the street struggling to walk. It was very cold and he had no jacket. Mom ran to the door and told him “Wait right there!” In a few minutes she ran across the street and gave him a pair of crutches, a warm coat and some money for food. He was so grateful as she hugged him and off he went. She was loved by many. But more importantly she was liked by everyone she met. She leaves behind her grieving family, daughter Lynn and her son Jake, daughter Gina and her husband Moni, grandson Michael and wife Angela, and great daughter Gabby. She also leaves her precious cat Nipper, now 19. Heaven gained a beautiful angel who we know is with all her loved ones. She joins her husband Gene, and her parents and all who went before her. I imagine Heaven is now lit up in jubilation and the Glory of God. She’s home.
