OBITUARY

Deborah Kay Lalli

February 9, 1955October 9, 2020

Deborah Kay Lalli, age 65, passed away on Friday, October 9th, 2020 in her home in Las Vegas, NV due to stage 4 cancer.

Deborah was born on February 9th, 1955 in Seneca Falls, NY to Walter and Mina Burgeson and was the only girl out of five children. When she was young, she moved around from time to time as her father was in the Air Force, even living in Germany for some time. She attended Waterloo High School in NY and graduated in 1974. Years later she moved to Las Vegas in 1980 where she became a cocktail waitress at the original MGM Grand (now Bally’s) where she would go on to work for 40 years. It was there she met her former husband Nick Lalli, and even though they separated, they still worked together to raise their two children, son Salvatore and daughter Marissa.

Deborah had a heart of gold and would always think of others before herself. She was a loving mother to her kids and a dedicated Christian who attended services regularly and was even baptized at her Canyon Ridge Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to movies, dining out, karaoke and outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, fishing and boating. she would visit her family in upstate NY regularly for their family reunion, often times bringing her kids with her. She was a lover of all animals, especially her two dogs, CJ and Honey. She liked going to paint classes with her daughter and would often attend concerts with friend and dance though the night.

Deborah is survived by her children, Salvatore and Marissa; her brothers, Dennis, David, Brian, and Mark; her mother, Mina; and her many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her father, Walter.

Debbie was one of the sweetest women I have ever known. I had the pleasure of working with Debbie for 10 years at Bally’s and without a doubt one of my favorite women to work along side of. Anyone was blessed to be able to call her a friend. Thank you Debbie for your sweet charm, fun nights downtown dancing and singing, gracing us with your sweet voice in karoke and more than anything your sincere friendship. We will all truly miss you! My condolences to the family RIP ❤️

It's taken me this long just to write something, I'm so sad I'm going to miss my bestfriend that I've known 40 years. IT'S not fair that God took her so early, it should of been me with my stage 3 throat cancer. I'm going to miss her smile, laugh and those big blue eyes. We have had a few years off an on but we have never lost our way back. All that I would like to say is I love you Deb and it's not goodbye, it's see you later. God bless Salvatore and Marisa, I love you guys. I'm here if you ever need me. My prayers , love and respect for Mom Burgeson and Lalli families. R.I.P. My friend.
