Shirley Jean Howell. He grew up in Los Angeles, California with his loving parents and
big brother, Cedric Bernard as his closest friend and mentor.
He graduated from Susan Miller Dorsey High School in Los Angeles and began what
would be a lifelong career at Southwest Airlines as a Sky Cap. Jejaun was often the
life of the party with his energetic dancing and contagious chuckle. It is no wonder
why those who spent any time with him grew fond of him almost immediately.
Jejaun and Fetitia Lake Howell were married for 25 years. To this union, three children
were born: Jejuan D., Tiana and Samaje. They were also joined by Fetitia’s oldest
son, Patrick Patterson. The family moved to North Las Vegas to further his career
with Southwest Airlines. There he met several lifelong friends.
Jejaun transitioned from this world on March 30th, 2024 after a sudden illness. He
was preceded in death by his parents, James Herman and Shirley Jean and his oldest
brother, Curtis Jones. He leaves cherished and fond memories with his wife, Fetitia
Lake Howell; his children Jejuan D., Tiana, Samaje and Patrick: grandchildren Jayden
Patterson, Legacy Patterson and Amir Howell, along with his brother, Cedric Bernard
(Sondra) of Southaven, Mississippi and a host of relatives and friends including his
Southwest family.
Race…well run. Job…well done. Rest well Jejaun, soldier, king until we meet again in
The Great Beyond.
