Robert “Bob” Louis Hunold, 72, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Jan. 1, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV after listening to the Rose Bowl Game. He was born in Ripon to Louis Thomas Hunold and Irmgard (Hunold) Marshall on Oct. 1, 1940. He went to school at Burlington, IA. While in school at Burlington, Bob met his swim coach, Dale Blank, who became a lifetime friend and mentor. Bob credited him as being one of the most positive influences in his life. He married Marilyn Ridge on Nov. 4, 1961 in Madison, WI. He graduated from the Univ. of Wisconsin, Madison where he was a member of the Varsity Badger Swim Team. He continued his education at the Univ. of Iowa where he earned his Masters of Business Administration. He proudly served three years as a lieutenant in the infantry in the US Army and earned an honorable discharge. He worked as a salesman for EMM for 20 years and later moved to Las Vegas to run his own company until he retired in 2008. Bob was an avid supporter of the Wisconsin Badger football team and enjoyed traveling back to Wisconsin for home games. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; son, Christopher; daughters, Jennifer Crosby and Stacey Garcia; brother, Charles Marshall; and grandchildren, Zachary, Briana, Austen, Kaitlyn, Jared, Wyatt, Caitlyn and Connor. A Memorial Service will be held on Sat. Jan. 12 at 2PM at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146. Burial will be at a later date at Rock Church Cemetery in Livingston, Wisconsin. Bob was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
