OBITUARY

Roger Alan Lynn

July 10, 1950 – October 28, 2025
Obituary of Roger Alan Lynn
IN THE CARE OF

Palm Downtown Mortuary & Cemetery

ROGER LYNN was born on July 10, 1950, in Ventura, California, and having passed on October 28, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada, his journey was one of strength and service.

He served his country with pride and courage, dedicating over 20 years to the military, including several tours in Vietnam and many special assignments. His discipline, loyalty, and deep sense of duty were not just part of his uniform — they were the fabric of who he was. After his Valley College in Lancaster, California, from February 2007 to March 2013. He also worked as a NASA aircraft mechanic, a testament to his precision, intelligence, and tireless work ethic.

He married the love of his life on July 22, 1978, in Hawaii, and together they built a family. He was a devoted husband and the proud father of three children. As a provider, he ensured that we never wanted for anything. His hard work was a silent promise that we were always taken care of.

He was a lover of animals, and anyone who knew him could picture him surrounded by his loyal dogs — his pack — following his lead. That same protective instinct extended to his family. He taught us how to protect ourselves, not just physically, but in life. He believed in protecting what was his and instilled that in his family. His favorite saying was: “Always keep your promise to each other and never go against the family.”

He had a presence that didn’t need to be announced. Even when he wasn’t in sight, there was comfort in knowing he was near — a protector, a steady force in the background, making sure his family was safe.

Our father was not only our protector and teacher, but also our anchor. Though he’s no longer here, his lessons, his voice, and his love will always remain. He was — and always will be — our father and husband.

Although he has passed away, he remains with us in spirit, and we will continue to honor his memory, wishes, and beliefs. He leaves behind his wife, Maxine, His Son, Jonathan, and His Two Daughters, Rica and Jesika, as well as Six Grandchildren.

Our father was a private man and thusly requested his memorial be privately held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.

His family honored his wishes.
