

Vickie was the daughter of Verl and Barbara Conover and she grew up in Blue Diamond, Nevada. She had an older sister by the name of Sherry, and a younger brother Craig. Vickie was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years. She graduated from VoTech in 1973. She completed a course in data processing. In college she pursued her favorite passion in photography. While growing up, some of her best friends were Linda Martin, Susie Thorsheim, Darlene and Randy Leone, Vicki Bilo, and Bonnie Hardy. Later in life, she became friends with June and Trish. November 25, Vickie exchanged wedding vows with James (Herky) Stultz at in her parents home in Blue Diamond, Nevada. Vickie worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Vickie was blessed with one son, Brent. Another blessing for Vickie was the gift of three grandchildren Erica, Michael, and Madison. Vickie enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were rock hunting and collecting, photography, gardening, and she was an avid animal lover, especially cats. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others. She was a member of the Ladder Day Saints. Vickie was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of her favorites was Pooh Bear, a long-haired Chihuahua, and her family was rounded out by multiple cats throughout the years. Pooh Bear was her best friend for 10 years and for 7 years with her current family of cats, which included five Siamese. Vickie passed away on October 24, 2013 at San Martin Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. Vickie fought for approximately 23 years multiple health problems. She was preceded in death by her husband James and her parents. She is survived by her son Brent Stultz (Dyna); brother Craig; sister Sherry; and her three grandchildren Erica, Michael, and Madison. Services were held at Palm Eastern Mortuary. Simply stated, Vickie was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Vickie leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Vickie Verlyn Stultz.
