Zdzislaw "Ziggy" Klimczak, 73, of Las Vegas, passed away at home on May 3, 2021. He was born in Lodz, Poland on August 12, 1947. He served in the Polish Army as a K9 Border Patrol Agent.and worked in the coal mine as a welder. He moved to the United States in 1978 and worked at Urick and Zurn Foundries in Erie. In 2002, he moved with his wife to Las Vegas. He worked at several casinos in the engineering department.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne of Las Vegas; son, Marek (Christina Doupe) of Erie; daughters Ewa Jawna of Poland and Jennifer Plymyer of Las Vegas and grandsons, Taylor of Erie and Marcin, Slawek, Gracjan of Poland. He is also survived by his siblings, Alicja, Helena, and Bogdan of Poland. He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara of Poland. Ziggy had many hobbies including boating, fishing, and camping where he made many friends.
Services will be private, held at the family's convenience at Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Erie, Pennsylvania.
