Naomi S. Pauley, 78, passed away on November 26, 2021. She was born on May 2,1943 in New Gulf, Texas. She grew up in Mission, TX where she was active in school and church. Naomi was a loving, nurturing, Christian woman. Her heart was full when caring for others. She was a daughter, sister, Momma, Nana, and a special friend to many.
After graduating from Mission High School she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from East Texas Baptist College (ETBU). Naomi taught 5 years until the birth of her only child, Michele. In 1971 the Pauley family moved to Marion, Illinois where Naomi babysat children out of her home for 12 years so she could be home with Michele. It was in 1983 that Naomi began teaching again when the Pauley family moved back to San Antonio, Texas. She taught at Adam’s Elementary until she retired in 2004. After retirement she took care of 3 children out of her home until they were old enough for elementary school. Naomi resided in the San Antonio area until 2018 when she moved to Cedar Park, Texas to be closer to her family.
Naomi is preceded in death by her parents Jarrett and Norma Smith, and her two older sisters, Noma Jean Folmar and Betty Jo Crawl.
Naomi is survived by her daughter, Michele L Sprinkles, son-n-law, Tal Sprinkles, and granddaughter, Savannah Sprinkles of Cedar Park, Texas.
A visitation for Naomi will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 1200 S. Bagdad, Leander, TX 78641, followed by a celebration of remembrance from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
