He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Audrey, children Perry (Tamra), Cindy, Tim (Al), Corey (Sheila) and Kathy. He was loved by his 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Dennis enjoyed playing ball with his Ireton teammates, curling with Gil and friends, and golfing with the Yuma folks. He also loved fishing and hunting and was a long time member of the Leduc Fish and Game Association. Dennis loved people and having fun. He was never late for coffee at A&W or church at Peace Lutheran. In later years, he enjoyed time watching his Blue Jays on TV or sitting around the campfire at Lange’s pond.
In his spare time, Dennis farmed with Audrey and his family on the homestead where he grew up just west of Leduc. He was an exceptional farmer and was well respected by his peers. He embraced technological advances in equipment and machinery. He grew certified registered seed and operated a seed cleaning business on the farm. He took great pride in maintaining the yard and his equipment and was known to wax his grain trucks. The Neimans received numerous farm awards and welcomed international guests hosted by district Alberta agriculturalists.
Dennis worked hard and played hard. He was often the life of the party ready to tell a story or two. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life, complete with a wiener roast and games will take place later in the summer when Covid-19 restrictions allow.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
