Cleo Hampton Justice, 99 of Wexford Village Circle, Lenoir, North Carolina, passed away June 3, 2018 at Shaire Center in Lenoir. She was born October 27, 1918 in Watauga County to the late Albert F. Hampton and Lola E. Hampton. Cleo was a graduate of Lenoir High School and Lenoir Business College. She retired after serving 35 years with Caldwell County Chamber of Commerce. After retirement, she enjoyed doing volunteer work, traveling, reading and playing bridge. She also enjoyed caring for her many house plants. She was also a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church and a past member of Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she is Preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Caudle, a brother, William B. Hampton, an infant sister, a son, Dr. John Allen Caudle, a grandson, Allen Hampton Caudle and her second husband, James Michael Justice. Those left to cherish Cleo’s memory are her cousin’s, in-laws and many friends. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Pastor Daniel Duke Officiating. Relatives and friends will visit immediately after the service. Cleo expressed many times her thanks and appreciation to her Power of Attorney’s, Gary and Donna Huffstetler and Walter and Sonja Howell and friends for their many acts of kindness, exceptional care, compassion and love shown her during the past several years.
