Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home

Virginia Ruth Chandler Herald, 92 of Lenoir passed away on December 16, 2018 at Grandview Villa in Lenoir.

Mrs. Herald was born January 17, 1929 in Caldwell County to the late Fred Chandler and Letha Witherspoon Chandler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Stuart Herald,

Virginia was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, raising her chickens, she had a great love of music and played the organ.

She was a Christian and her Christian faith was very important to her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jerry Herald and wife Jean and Wendell, Johnny Herald and wife Katrina of Lenoir City, TN, daughter, Peggy Rich of Lenoir, sisters, Ann Shew of Lenoir, Jo Hoover of Salisbury, Betty Coffey of Lenoir and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Bentley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery,

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home.
