Wesley “Randy” Alley, age 67, native of Hudson and resident of Brookdale Senior Living Center, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 26, 2018. Randy was born in Lenoir, NC to Clem M. and Norene Livingston Alley on May 17, 1950. A beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. Randy loved all sports and was a die hard Carolina fan. He also enjoyed his annual fishing trip to the coast with his cousins and friends. Randy was a lifelong member of the Hudson First Baptist Church. Randy was a past president of Hudson Optimist Club, who devoted countless hours of community service. He also volunteered five years of service to the Caldwell County (Hudson )Hospice. Randy was a retired Environmental Health Specialist at the Caldwell County Health Department, where he touched the lives of many Caldwell County residents. He was a very caring and loving person who will be remembered always. Randy is survived by his sister, Jennifer Alley from Wilmington, NC; his brother, John Alley and wife Patsy of Boone, NC; niece, Elyse Alley Darling and husband, Todd, and their children Gavin and Alley Darling of Cary, NC.; nephew, McLean Alley and wife Heather, and their children Miko and Leia Alley of Windermere , FL. He is also survived by an extended family of aunts and cousins. Randy was preceded in death by his loving parents Clem and Norene Alley. Services for Wesley “Randy” Alley will be held at Hudson First Baptist on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 1:30 pm. Reverend R. Mack Jarvis III and Reverend Wade Dellinger will officiate. Interment will follow at the Sardis Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church for one hour and a half, prior to the service, from 12:00 pm until 1:30 pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Winkler, Tommy Houck, Ted Alley, Pat Alley, Tim alley, Logan Alley, Dorman Winkler and Tony Whitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Deal and David Winkler. Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to the Caldwell County Hospice at 902 Kirkwood Street Lenoir, NC 28645. The family would like to express a sincere thanks to the staff at Brookdale Senior Living Center, the Caldwell County EMTs, and the staff at Caldwell Memorial Hospital for their loving care.
