Elwanna McHam Parker

Elwanna Melton McHam Parker, 91, of Levelland, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2017. Funeral services will be Friday, February 3, 2017, at 2pm at Second Baptist Church in Levelland, with Reverend Michael Holster officiating. Elwanna was born on July 12, 1925, to E. R. Melton and Irene Parchman Melton in Crosby County, TX. She graduated from Ralls H. S. in 1943. She later married Bobby Ray McHam in Ralls on October 9, 1943. She graduated LVN School in Plainview, TX and worked For Covenant Home Health Service for 38 years. Elwanna married Lloyd Parker in Levelland, TX. August 5, 1997. She enjoyed attending Country music shows all over West Texas. She and Lloyd had a good life together. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Ray McHam; Brother Jack Melton; Brother Bud Melton; Sister Joe Chance; sister Sis Waller; June Melton; Sister Bernice Vineyard; Sister Melavie Waller; and Brother ER Melton. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Lloyd Parker; sister Sally Houchen of Petersburg; daughter Linda Hill and husband Charlie of Lubbock; Laurie Moorhead of Spring; Lance Hill and wife Karen of San Saba; daughter Barbara Johnson and husband Claude of Nocona; Tim Johnson; Nicole Johnson; and Jeff Johnson.
