It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Charles “Chal” W. Check Jr. who left us peacefully on March 10, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Donna (Oshinsky); children Michael (Ashley), Steven (Nicole), Ryan (Brandi); grandchildren Weston, Emily, Willow, Autumn, Reagan; mother in-law Joan Oshinsky.
Beloved brother of Marge (Wayne), the late Ronald, Joanne (John), Robert (Lisa); brother in-law to Tom (Denise). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The gentle nature and compassionate heart of Charles warmed the lives of many. Chal was married to the love of his life Donna for 39 years. They built an incredible life together and proudly raised 3 sons. Chal valued family more than anything. In his personal time you could find Chal on the golf course with his sons, watching sports, reading a book, or enjoying a cigar with good conversation. He worked in the banking industry for 41 years. While working and supporting his family he attended night school and fulfilled a lifelong goal of graduating college with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He spent his most recent years answering to “Pop”. He was adored by his grandchildren who always brought the biggest smile to his face.
A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M. and a memorial service from 11:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Rd Levittown, PA 19056.
