

Carolyn Lavinia Kyzer Lorick, 78, of Leesville, SC passed away on December 20, 2020. She was born in Lexington, SC on September 15, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Carlisle E. and Lois B. Shumpert Kyzer.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Clyde Lorick; daughter, Melissa L. Craft (Ed); sons, Brian E. Lorick (Tracy Duke) and Scott O. Lorick (Amanda) and her four-legged baby, Red; six grandchildren, Jonathan Lorick, Brian E. Lorick, Jr., Kristen Hite, Caitlyn Lorick, Carley Craft and Barry Lynn Mears; three great grandchildren, Noah Shumpert, Olivia Lorick and Forrest Hite, Jr.; brother, Duane Kyzer; sisters, Retha Crout and Martha Oxner (Keith); and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
She is predeceased by her parents and brothers, Tim Kyzer and Larry Kyzer.
She was employed by Allied Chemical and retired in 2002 after 40 years of dedicated service.
Carolyn was a lifetime member of Red Bank United Methodist Church, where she dutifully served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She will forever be remembered by the names Biney, Viney, MeMa, Sis and most importantly, Momma. Carolyn was loved by many and was always compassionate about all of God’s beautiful creations. She loved taking girls trips with her sisters, although she was likely to enjoy a good nap wherever she went. She loved her Lord, her family, her friends and her beloved treasures. She never met a stranger.
She will forever be missed, we all find comfort in her strength and faith after a 17-year battle with cancer. Her memory is now strong and she is pain free, knowing that she is chatting away in her Heavenly Home with Jesus and the loved ones that have gone before her.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Red Bank United Methodist Church, 2909 Old Barnwell Rd., Lexington, SC 29073. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Charles (Skeet) Anderson, Kevin Crout, Timothy (Skeeter) Crout, Justin Dillon, Darrin Kyzer, Clay Lorick and Kevin Shealy.
