A lifelong member of the Lutheran church, in her early career she was a payroll clerk who became a devoted wife, mother and full-time homemaker, raising her children and grandchildren with selfless devotion. Christine was a talented artist, she loved to cook, and she was always up for getting into a little light-hearted mischief. Her boundless curiosity, creative mind and generous heart led to a lifelong love of learning. She traveled the world through books exploring world history, discovering new cultures and enjoying historical fiction. Christine's quiet spirit was grounded in courage and strength, and she was relentlessly positive in the face of many hardships, believing everything happened for a reason.
Christine is survived by her daughters, Julie Murphy of Dallas, Kalindi Vora of Sacramento, and Sonja Moskal of Columbia; son, Alexander Vora of Columbia, and seven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nisheeth Vora, who waits for her among the stars.
A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the National Kidney Foundation.
