Grace S. Harmon (93 years), mother to Mark Harmon, George Harmon, & Mandy Harmon Akers passed away surrounded by her children and their families on October 28, 2024. A Memorial Service in her honor will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 1, 2024 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 1130 St. Peters Road, Lexington, SC 29072.
Mrs. Harmon was born February 4, 1931 in Lexington, SC, was the daughter of the late Webster M. Steele and Lillian C. Steele, and was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Harmon and George Harmon (Kathryn); daughter, Mandy Harmon Akers (Robin Marc); grandchildren, Michael Harmon (Tonya), Adam Harmon, Zachary Harmon, Heather Harmon Smith (Jeremy), Ashley Ella Harmon Prosser (William), Mary Montague Akers Stamatiades (Perry), Hannah Akers, and Gregory Akers; and great-grandchildren, Damian Harmon, Calvin Smith, Ella Smith, and Wesley Smith. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Alton M. Harmon.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
