

LEXINGTON Loretta Regina Canonico was born May 29, 1933 in Pottsville, PA to the late Harold J. Brennan and Celina O’Brien Brennan and passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, the bible study group and CGA and was a long time member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Oxon Hill, MD where she lived for 40 years. She was a member of (NARFE) National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She was active with church activities, graduated Divinity College in Washington DC in Education and Parish Services and worked in Washington DC as a Civil Service Employee for 32 years with opm.
Loretta is survived by her children, Mary C. Tindle (John), Joseph A. Canonico and Therese C. Mazloom (Aboly); grandson, William D. Fetty; step grandchildren, Jeffrey Tindle (Elise) and Dr. Jennifer Tindle; step great-grandchildren, Laurel Edwards and Wyatt Tindle; brother, Harold Brennan (Joanne); a niece, Kathleen; three nephews, Michael, Patrick, Brian and many close friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the South Carolina Oncology Association especially Nurse Kristin for taking care of our Mother with such compassion.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
