Ada Ruth Hicks, 85, of Liberty, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Staley with Rev. Jimmy Austin officiating.

Ruth was the daughter of the late Erastus and Ada Brady Hicks. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Kate Hicks Oaks, Josephine Hicks McMasters, and Juanita Hicks Crutchfield; brothers, June “J.B.” Hicks, Edsel Hicks, and Wesley “Mutt” Hicks.

She leaves behind her brother, Carlton “Bill” Hicks, six nieces and eleven nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 7103 Sandy Creek Church Road, Staley, NC 27355.
