Jay Knauer passed away suddenly on Sunday Oct, 7 in Roseville, CA from a cerebral hemorrhagic stroke. He was a man full of passion, love, gentle and humble, always had an ear to listen and a kind word with the best hugs, and oh so handsome.

While in the AF he married the love of his life after a 3 month courtship. After discharge he worked for 50 years for the FAA as an air traffic controller/instructor out of Oakland and Sacramento.
The center of his life was Jesus and his family. He loved his bible study, teaching others about the bible, playing his trumpet, bocce, and his many friends whose lives he deeply touched.
Jay is survived by his wife, Roberta of 62 years, his children Darlyn Johnson (Rick), Dan Knauer (Kathleen), Denise Colvin (Dennis), Dana Benton (Terry), six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
