Lois Marline Balko

Curtis P. Balko and Lois M. Balko (Curt and Lois) slipped the bonds of earth in love to remain together today, tonight, and for all tomorrows. Together for 60 years they passed on Wednesday, January 16th.

As eternal partners they embraced family, enjoyed friends and strangers alike, were active in the community of and in service to the Catholic Church, cared for and provided guidance to their children and grandchildren, traveled far and wide, tended to their home, and most importantly remained steadfast in their devotion to each other in life, and now beyond.

Curt and Lois are survived by their children, Daryl, Katie, Rob, and Doug, and their eleven grandchildren. May they and we find peace not in being consoled but by consoling, for it is in giving that we receive. Mom/Grandma and Dad/Grandpa, till we meet again. Your loving children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lincoln, CA, on Wednesday, February 13 at 11:00 AM to celebrate their lives and their wedding anniversary; the service will be preceded by reciting the Rosary at 10:30 AM. Their children request that any contributions be directed to charitable organizations in their honor.

Former neighbors(1983-1988) of Lois and Curt in Rancho Dorado in Walnut Creek. We were a young, newly married couple and they were awesome roll models. They had a lovely family and lots of awesome babysitters for our children Brendan and Shea. We always enjoyed there company at the pool or a walk in the neighborhood with Lois.
Heartfelt sympathy to Rob, Katie, Doug and Daryl and your families. God Bless all of you and your parents.
