Was born on March 14, 1931, in Petaluma, CA; passed away on May 3, 2021, in Lincoln, CA.
Rosie Mohammed De Arcos is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Mohammed; husband Louis De Arcos and son Anthony De Arcos; brothers Raul, Ralph, Rueben, Saul, and John, and sister Delores Garcia.
She is survived by sons David, Richard, and Robert De Arcos; sister, Sally Linarez, and brothers Bill and Alex Mohammed.
Rosie enjoyed taking care of her family and friends, cooking, company visiting at her home, going to dinner with her friends, the “Golden Girls,” and listening to the Mariachis. She loved social gatherings of all kinds and would spread her warm and friendly manner.
Rosie strongly felt her most important accomplishment in life was caring for her husband, her four sons, and her 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. As a result, she always had a welcome smile, kind words, and warm hugs for everyone. Finally, she took great pride in taking the necessary time embracing, welcoming, and addressing any and all people new to the family circle of friends and relatives.
At home, Rosie enjoyed her gardening, cooking, always loved following her sons playing sports, and, don’t forget, she enjoyed watching the San Francisco Giants. Stepping outside the box, she indulged in the VFW women auxiliary, Women of the Moose, for several years and a treasurer for a local group.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 13, 20201, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 280 Oak Tree Lane, Lincoln, CA:
